After Moira dissappears on him, poor Ross discovers she is "Nicole" on Ares. Not only is she hiding from him, but he hears she is messing around with other guys. He goes around from room to room telling various people he is not doing too well. Someone I know copied these exchanges in the rooms. I included some of my conversation with them.

(That's why me and Ross talked so much, we discussed whether Moira had psychological problems or maybe she was just evil. I told him it's almost impossible to tell online if someone doesn't want you to know--they could be acting... He leaned towards saying she is just immature and childish and maybe has psychological problems... I felt that she seemed to know what she was doing and was evil. Here he thinks she might be evil. In fact he calls her "deceitful" which would mean she knows what she is doing.)

(Another thing I would like to point out here is that I always thought Moira was much closer and more open with Ross than me, as he was supposedly her "boyfriend" while I was a "friend". So with this in mind I was often quite surprised that he didn't seem to be able to understand her behavior any better than I did. I was extremely shocked when I heard she just dissappeared on him like this because as much as I thought she enjoyed making men suffer I didn't think she would do something like this to Ross who was always so loyal and devoted to her except for a couple of "digressions" where he wanted to take revenge on her for "cheating" on him and messed around with other women on Ares. With this in mind, as I originally said, it's quite impossible to "diagnose" someone who doesn't want to be "diagnosed". My best estimate is whoever Moira is in real life, she or even he, is a highly disturbed individual with a variety of personality problems. She/he is definately not a normal functioning person and very well might already be under professional psychological care.)

Note that he says he PM'd (Private Message) her but she didn't talk. This is Moira's most powerful weapon. She found that what hurts people most is if she ignores them. When she ignores and doesn't reply you don't know what she's thinking. Ross is scared she won't ever talk to him again. Of course Moira plans to just "torture" him for a while before returning.

Note that he calls her "my so called 'gf'" This is because she only sometimes says she is his "gf". Then at other times she claims she is "free" and he is not her "bf". This is just another one of her "torture" methods. She NEVER gives Ross the pleasure of feeling secure with her.
The common element in all these clips is that Moira causes Ross a lot of heartache. He is miserable and goes to talk to different people in various rooms telling them all he is not doing too well.
Also I would like to mention that Ross has stated that Moira caused him so much pain that when he used to drive home at night he was scared to return as he didn't "know what she would do next". He has said that he experienced so much pain that eventually he just became "numb" to it. I also understand he drinks a lot and uses drugs like "mushrooms". Maybe that's why he's so abusive, strange, and paranoid.
Remember that we are talking about "Moira", an ONLINE personality which Ross has never seen in real life and not even on a webcam. He only saw a few tiny and unclear pictures which don't even match and it's hard to tell what this character Moira looks like. She is just someone who types to him on the net. Strange you say? No, her great power comes from her mystery. In Ross's mind she is a goddess. The mind is a curious thing.

I was Moira's friend and thought that an 18 year old girl should not be hanging out in chatrooms but going to college. When I met her she lied saying everywhere she was studying "architecture". Later she stopped saying that. She then said she was working daily in a Vet's office taking care of animals. She used to come online early in the morning from another IP so this may have been true.
But later on when Ross insisted on celebrating her 19th birthday, she kept saying 18/F/Argentina by accident in the rooms, and then she said that she had only turned 17. At that time I wasn't talking with her anymore, BTW. This means she was 16 when I and Ross met her (according to her). She was on Ares all day except for about 4 hours every morning when she said she worked at the Vet's office. But at 16 you'd think she'd be going to school and that would be more than 4 hours. So that raises into question whether Moira is really a young girl at all. She might be much older or maybe not even a girl but a guy. Her voice really didn't sound as that of a young teenage girl. I have a few samples and will post them soon.

Notice my contact thinks Moira doesn't talk as if she takes things seriously. One thing is for sure, she definately doesn't take people she meets online seriously. This is not uncommon in the Ares chat community. I've seen many chatters state that they don't take any of it seriously as "it's all words on the screen." In other words they think the people they are talking with are not genuine--that they are acting out fake personalities, and should not be taken seriously. This in turn means they can abuse them, play with their feeling, and generally treat them with no respect as they are not true human beings. No wonder there have been several online-abuse related suicides reported in the media. In fact I know of at least two adult females (in their 30's and 40's) who were close to suicide. One had attempted it and the other was thinking of it. Both suffered "broken hearts" due to men who "played with their feelings"
Ross had actually said he had tried to commit suicide at age 14. It is not impossible to entertain the possiblity that Moira might actually drive him to commit suicide at some point. The risk seems to be there.

That's Ross's problem. He thinks he is smarter than everybody and he's stubborn. He has a "brick head". He convinced himself that "nobody would spend so much time in rooms unless they were looking to fall in love with someone for real and that Moira must be looking". This is of course a big mistake on his part. Moira has stated several times she is only on Ares to "escape from her hard life." She called it "Fantasy Island".
To be fair he is 30 years old and he is not of the "Internet generation" so he approaches the online community with an old mindset. He just can't get his head around the idea that some people go online to enjoy an anonymous, "virtual" life where they can act in a way they would never act in real life. It didn't matter what Moira kept telling him. On the other hand, in order for Moira to get the best experience of an online fantasy she also wanted her "victims" to think she is serious about real life. But she knew that this is really immoral, so that bothered her somewhat from what she told me. The result was that her message was unclear, and Ross being so eager for her to be real preferred to believe she was real. Ross only hears what he wants to hear.
